Determination of the motor performance level using the Unifittest test battery at the Grammar School Česká in České Budějovice
PAUKERT, Roman
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate motor activity levels of secondary level students of the Gymnasium Česká, České Budějovice. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on research of relevant literature. Its content is focused on motor skill activities in relation to patterns of development. In addition, it examines the evaluation of motor activity and motor activity tests. Special attention is payed to three test batteries, i. e. Unifittest Battery (6-60), Eurofit Fitness Test Battery and Fitnessgram Test Battery. The practical part comprises of the application of the chosen test battery on the secondary level students of the Gymnasium Česká, the results of which were then compared to the Unifittest norms. As the conclusions of the research show, the students of the Gymnasium Česká perform better, on average, than the average assessed by the Unifittest norms. The results of the research are presented in tables and charts.
Applied Athletics as a Form of Physical Education for People with Combined Disabilities
ČÁPOVÁ, Lenka
Physical activities are a very important parts of human life considering both recreational and top performance sport activities. Sporting activities are often for disabled people key importance not only for sport itself, but they particularly allow social contact, and further they represent main content of a life together with quality life improvement. Deliberately aimed physical education becomes a basic necessity of life. One of the sports that people with multiple disabilities can attend all year round is applied athletics, which can lead to mitigating the effects of health impairment and increase functional performance and overall fitness. In practice, it is a realization of simple athletic elements, hurdle races, modified athletic disciplines, optionally exercises with fitness equipment.
Assessment of motor activity in children with autism by inertial sensors - Method of measurement and its utilization in diagnostic
Nývltová, Lucie ; Komárek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Autism belongs to developmental pervasive disorders. Primary symptoms of autism include failure in communication, social interaction and imagination. Other symptoms are abnormalities in physical activity manifested by delays in motor development, stereotyped movements, postural instability, impaired in imitation and dyspraxia. These symptoms already come up in the first years of life. The first diagnosis of autism used to be made between 2nd and 3rd year of life, however if the diagnosis could be based on physical symptoms, it would be possible to establish the diagnosis earlier. The work presents a method of measurement by inertial sensors that could be used to assess physical activity of autistic children.
The selected methods of social work with clients self - non sufficient in health care facilities
Kiliánová, Hana ; Krahulcová, Beáta (advisor) ; Ondrušová, Jiřina (referee)
The main goal of the thesis entitled "The selected methods of social work with clients self-non sufficient in health care facilities" was to describe and to analyze methods used in activation of the elderly suffering from dementia. It draws a comparison of different settings and explores workers's attitude to the methods of activation. The text of the thesis was mapped out into five chapters. The first chapter was set into the context of old age and ageing. The second chapter is concerned with the issues of self-sufficiency and dependency of old age and other related issues. The topic of the third chapter is old age in relation with memory. It defines memory and memory disorders in the elderly suffering from dementia. The fourth chapter is crucial and gives an idea of non-pharmacological and other possible activities which are eligible for application in practice and are intended to reduce cognitive disorders of cognitive functions and behavior disorders. The theoretical part enters into research carried out in four facilities which care for clients with dementia. The research section is represented by a qualitative research where methods of a half structured interview and observation were opted for. The interviews were realized with eight practicing experts. The outcomes gathered from the...
REM sleep behavior disorder:Characteristics of polysomnographic and behavioral manifestations.
Nepožitek, Jiří ; Šonka, Karel (advisor) ; Bušková, Jitka (referee) ; Marusič, Petr (referee)
REM sleep behavior disorder: Characteristics of polysomnographic and behavioral manifestations Abstract REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is a disease characterized by abnormal motor activity corresponding to the dream content. REM sleep without atonia (RWA) and behavioral manifestations are the main features registered by video-polysomnography (PSG). Because idiopathic RBD (iRBD) is considered as prodromal stage of synucleinopathies, the direction of current research is the search for markers of early conversion. The goal of this study was to observe the group of patients with iRBD with regard to the development of manifest neurodegenerative disease, to find and test a new polysomnographic marker of phenoconversion, to perform analysis of the movements registered by video and to quantify excessive fragmentary myoclonus (EFM), which is a frequent finding in neurodegenerative processes. A total of 55 patients with iRBD were observed for 2.3±0.7 years. The annual conversion rate was 5.5%. Mixed RWA, representing simultaneous occurrence of phasic and tonic RWA, was suggested as a new marker of phenoconversion. Converted patients showed a higher mixed RWA (p=0.009) and the ROC analysis confirmed that mixed RWA is the best predictive marker of conversion among other RWA types (AUC 0.778). An average of...
